According to “Honolulu” magazine, “The Allure unveiled the latest multi-million dollar renovations to their luxury condo on the edge of Waikiki last night, with modern, unique touches you won’t see anywhere else in Hawaii.”

“The most stunning upgrade, which was done at the request of current residents, is the newly designed lobby area. According to Pacific Business News, “It looks like Waikiki’s International Market Place will be going upscale with a three-level open air retail center.”

“Queen Emma Land Co.’s preliminary plans for the redevelopment of the International Market Place is estimated to cost between $250 million and $300 million, marking what will be a major capital infusion into the iconic shopping mecca that sits in the heart of Hawaii’s main tourist hub.”

The Cove Waikiki: Waikiki condo project is set to rise

According to the “Star Advertiser” Honolulu newspaper, “Long-delayed plans for new, low-rise residential condominium units are to come to fruition in March with groundbreaking for The Cove Waikiki on Kaioo Drive, off Hobron Lane.

Plans call for 117 one- and two-bedroom units in three five-story buildings on the 1.6-acre site, with fee-simple prices starting at $350,000.

It’s Aloha Friday Again: Waikiki gets electric vehicle charging stations

According to “Bloomberg Business Week” online, “Two electric vehicle charging stations have been installed at a Waikiki hotel.”

“AeroVironment announced on Thursday it has installed the stations at the Marriott Waikiki and plans to install others at the Outrigger’s Ohana Waikiki East, Embassy Suites Waikiki Beach Walk and Wailea Beach Marriott on Maui.”

“AeroVironment is one of four private companies and two county governments that received federal stimulus money to build about 250 of the stations. The grant recipients pitched in $2 million in matching funds.”

“The company says the newly installed stations help address growing demand for sustainable tourism”

According to Honolulu” Magazine, “Remember the cluster of old, dilapidated apartment buildings at the end of the Ala Wai? Built around 1950, they had fallen into extreme disrepair and had become an eyesore for the area.”

“Fast forward to just a few years ago: The neighboring Watermark project bought one of the low rises to help extend their property, and extensive renovations commenced on the remaining four. The exteriors were painted and colorful landscaping was installed to create a park-like setting.”

“Two of the buildings comprise Hawaiiana Gardens and two make up Marina Gardens. The project will open to the public this Sunday, September 4, with several models available for viewing. East Oahu Realty is providing the sales team.”
