Have You Been Thinking About Purchasing a Condotel in Waikiki?
According to the “Honolulu Star Advertiser newspaper”, and the Hawaii Tourism Authority, Hawaii has hosted 597,487 visitors last month, up 12.2% from a year ago. Arrivals from Canada grew 18.8%, and 18.7% increase of arrivals from Japan. Also, visitors spending rose 19.8% to $1.2 billion. The hotel occupancy and room rate are also rising.
I believe this bodes very well for condotels and the income derived from ownership.
Prices of condotel units in waikiki dropped signifiantly in 2008 and 2009. We now see that prices ahve stabilized and may be working themselves back up again. Several of the condotel units we have currently listed are showing excellent improvement and increase in income compared to the last several years.
